Fingering yarn - 25 grams
Gauge approximately 28 stitches to 4 inches in stockinette
Size 3 mm needles

Pattern:
Row 1: K1,* (yo, k2tog) repeat from * to end of row.
Row 2: Purl
Row 3: Knit
Row 4: Purl

Cuff: Cast on 41 stitches. Working on two needles, knit first row.
Repeat pattern a total of 3 times.

Working even, knit 15 rows in garter stitch.
Next row: with purl side of work facing, K1,* (yo, K2tog) repeat from * to end of row.
Next row: Purl

Note: Your boottee will look as if you have made a mistake and mixed up the right side and wrong
side. You haven't - this is where you begin working on the foot - the cuff will turn down, exposing
the right side.

Begin foot and toe shaping. Knit 15 stitches for side of bootie, knit 11 for instep, turn. Working on
the 11 stitches, work even in garter stitch for 20 rows or 10 ridges. Pick up ten stitches from side
of instep, knit 15 stitches for other side of bootie. Turn work. Purl 15 stitches from left side of
bootie, purl 10 stitches from left side of instep, purl 11 stitches from front of toe, pick up and purl
10 stitches from right side of instep, purl 15 stitches from bootie. 61 stitches on needle.

Repeat pattern rows 4 times.

Begin bottom of foot shaping.

Knit 2 tog, knit 25, knit 2 tog, knit 3, knit 2 tog, knit 25, k 2 tog.

Cast off.
Sew up back seam reversing seam for outside of cuff. With crochet hook, join top and bottom of
sole to form a picot. Go through the holes of the third pattern yo row.

Thread ribbon or i-cord through eyelets.
